Seeking Training

"H-..Hello?" Illidan called out, waiting.. hoping for someone to reply. After a long journey from his home planet, Illidan hoped that this was the place he was looking for.. the temple of the Students of the Light. The last few weeks of travelling would've been a waste of time if this was not the place he was searching for.. yet.. somehow.. he just knew that this was the right place.

Like most people that show up here, Illidan hoped to be accepted into the order, and to be trained as a Jedi. He didn’t even know if he could use the force, but Illidan had this small feeling inside of him.. telling him that he could, if he was trained, use the force.

“Hello? Is anybody here?” Illidan called out once again. “I wish to be trained.. I wish to become a Jedi!”

A warm sensation of serenity bathed lllidan in light's sweet embrace as Aura waltzed up behind him.

"Greetings, I am Jedi Master Aura SunRider...If you would please follow me to the recruitment chambers, the introduction can get under way," she voiced in a soothing tone as he turned about to face her, clad in a russet robe scaling down to the floor, her hood, secretly encompassing most of her features.

Turning around slowly, his eyes settled on the robed figure. Before he had a chance to say anything, she turned around, and started walking in the direction she came from. Instantly reacting, he quickly fell into place beside her, following her to the recruitment chamber. Once reaching the recruitment center, he brushed his light blue hair to the side, then turned toward the Jedi Master.

"I'm Illidan Stormrage. It's a pleasure to meet you, Master SunRider. As I called out back there, I wish to be trained as a Jedi. I've heard of all the good that the Jedi do, how they devote their lives to helping others, and I'm ready to do just that. I'm ready to put the time and effort into becoming a Jedi, and devote my life to helping people in need."

Aura nodded to him as she took a seat behind the sheer mahagony desk in the center of the room, reflecting her visage as she pulled down her hood and reached out with a poised hand.

"Please, take a seat, lllidan," she gestured to the chair adjacent from her.

"Your words are noble, yet sacrafice is part of a Jedi's existence, sometimes to the extreme extent of losing ones life so another may live, as it was in my sister's case." Aura allowed a brief moment of reflection in Crystal StarRider's honor as she continued on with the inquiries.

"Have you any knowledge of the Force? And have you experienced it in your past in any way?" The Jedi Master asked him, examining lllidan's features as if the answers were already inscribed on his facet.

“I know very little about the force.. all I know is what allow the Jedi's to have their .. 'special powers'.”

Illidan grinned slightly after he said this. He knew it sounded rather childish, but he didn't care. Before talking again, Illidan had a good look at Aura, studying her features. She's beautiful.. He said to himself, before finally noticing that he was staring. Turning red slightly, he looked down at his feet, but almost instantly raised his head again, his light blue eyes gazing into hers.

“I also have very little experience with it. There was this one time when I saw something before it was about to happen, and lucky I saw it too, because it saved my life, but that is about the only time that I've had experience with the force. For all I know, that wasnt even the force, that could've just been luck.”

Flattered as he seemed taken by her, Aura smiled in reciprocation. Jedi Masters seem all too inhuman at times, often robotic and void of emotions, yet they can feel when they are being appreciated, and react accordingly.

"Luck can sometimes be interpreted as the Force. It is the experienced Force adept of whom can discipher between the two. What was this vision that you saw, lllidan, that saved you from an untimely demise?"

“It wasn't really a vision.. It was more of a feeling. I felt as if I was in danger, and I managed to avoid it. I'd rather not go into that story though.. I've managed to forget it all these years, and it brings back some painful memories.”

Illidan sighs softly, lowering his head, his eyes falling to his lap. It did, indeed, bring back some painful memories.. infact, it was the memory of losing someone close to him. His sister. Illidan sighed again, slowly raising his eyes, until they once again met with the Jedi Masters.

“Master Sunrider, Do you think I can be trained?”

Aura nodded once meeting his brilliant azure eyes mirroring his tortured soul, aware his pain was similar to her own she bore in the past.

"Yes, lllidan. And those memories of the conflicts you store in the back of your conscious you will deal with void of torment as your training progresses. A powerful ally the Force is. The fact you did not resort to violence as a form of avengement is a positive attribute of yours. We train at dawn at the dojo. Until then, you shall find suitable accomodations at the compound. A droid will see you to your quarters."

Aura then rose from her seat and bowed to him as she retreated from the chambers, turning about once to address him.

"Welcome to the Students of the Light, Padawan Learner lllidan."

Illidan also stood up, bowing to his new master, and grinning slightly.

“Thank you, master.”

Illidan then turned, and followed the droid out of the recruitment chamber, and to his quarters.
